Enjoy three of our most cherished activities: boat ride in the Biosphere Reserve of Montes Azules, a trek through our own protected area, and a visit to the conservation area for the Scarlet Macaw. Two nights of accommodation in our super cabins included
You will normally arrive during the evening after a few hours of road. Rest, take your time and have some dinner in our restaurant (not included).
Early morning on day two, you will surely be awaken by the sound of the howler monkeys. After listening to them for a while, take your breakfast (not included) and get ready for a boat ride in the Biosphere Reserve of Montes Azules, a refuge for a large number of mammals, reptiles and birds. It is common to observe monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas, moreletis, herons and kingfishers. If we are lucky, me might also observe jaguar, tapir and otters, among other species.
Once back after the adventure, prepare yourself for a hike in our 2.5 kms interpretative path located within the Biosphere Community Area, which has an extension of 1463 hectares of high perennifolia jungle. This reserve houses a large number of mammals, reptiles and birds, some of which you will most probably be able to see. There is also a possibility to watch monkeys. During the hike, we will learn about distinct types of trees and plants, such as “ceiba pentandra”, mahogany and cedar. You will always be in contact with nature and our guides.
Finally, late on day two, let’s go for a visit to the area of Conservation of the Scarlet Macaw. For its conservation, we build artificial nests that you will be able to see. During the hike, we might be lucky enough to see Toucans, parrots, spider monkeys, howler monkeys or hummingbirds, depending on the season of your visit. You will also be able to discover our flora. The sight of Scarlet Macaw varies strongly depending on the season of the year.
